So I'm going to the land down under for six months. I'll be working on the Pacific Jewel as a photographer. Basically what we do is take photos of the passengers doing different activities in connection with the ship that we then process and print that they can Þhen purchase. Its all about the good memories and so forth.

We stay in 2 man cabins that you share with someone from your department. You have a bunk bed, en suite bathroom(tiny little bugger) and closets. There is also an internet port for your laptop. A basic shift is 11hours from 08:00 am to 00:00 including a 4 hour off time.

We (the staff/crew) have our own bar and gym and we are also allowed to use the passenger facilities at off peak times(cinemas and so forth).

The official uniform is a red golf shirt, khaki shorts and white sneakers with the exception off formal night when we don full suits.

Ill try and upload photos asap but the first 2 weeks are going to be hectic getting settled in and learning the ways of the pirate.

Blog it out!

Hi people.

I just thought i should start a blog seeing as I'm leaving for Australia in a few days. This way anyone who wants to can check what I'm up to and so forth without me actually having to mail them (web access is going to be quite a mission on the trip.)

Now this is my first blog so dont expect anything hectic. I'll try and update it as frequent as possible but I'm not promising anything.
